How does it work?
If you’ve never worked with a Holistic Nutritionist before you may be wondering what goes on behind the scenes. Usually, people have two main questions:
- Is it only for people that want to lose weight?
- Is it solely focused on diet and exercise?
Well, not necessarily.
As a Holistic Nutritionist I work with a variety of interrelated conditions such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, painful periods, sugar cravings, weight gain, metabolic issues, moodiness, anxiety, depression, fatigue, brain fog and digestive issues.
In order to clearly understand the message my clients’ symptoms are trying to convey, I listen closely to their story as well as their medical history. Additionally, I often recommend basic and specialty laboratory testing to obtain some insight into the root cause of the body’s imbalance.
Once identified, I firmly believe nutrition should be the first line of therapy as it is the basic foundation that facilitates healing. However, particular cases require more than just nutritional intervention to kickstart the healing process and so I utilize targeted supplementation when necessary.
In addition, I also like to incorporate diverse healing modalities when working with clients to address self-sabotaging behavioral patterns & beliefs, and emotional stressors that limit their ability to be in harmony with their own bodies and live a fulfilling life.
